Irene Loche – Official Biography

Irene Loche is a Sardinian singer-songwriter, guitarist, and performer. Born in 1992, she picked up the guitar at the age of six, growing up in a home filled with soul, blues, rock, and American folk records. Music quickly became her most natural form of expression—a lens through which she explores emotions, stories, and visions.

In 2010, she founded the blues-rock trio Sunsweet Blues Revenge, a powerful live act that performed at major festivals across Italy and Europe, including Pistoia BluesAmeno BluesItalian Blues RiverMamma BluesRocce Rosse Festival, and Samedan Out of the Blues in Switzerland. The band received strong acclaim from the press.

Alongside the trio, Irene began developing her solo voice, diving into more introspective songwriting and shaping a personal sound that blends blues and folk roots with modern influences. Her style is defined by essential guitar work, an intense and soulful voice, and lyrics that speak with honesty about personal and collective experiences. Throughout her journey, she has collaborated and shared the stage with artists such as Steve PostellLeland SklarSteve FerroneMichael Jerome MooreTom FreundSherman RobertsonIan SiegalEric McFaddenCC Thomas, and many more.

In 2016, she released her first solo EP, “Garden of Lotus”, followed by showcases across Italy, the UK, and the US. That same year, she was selected to perform at Bands at NAMM 2017, playing at the Winter NAMM Show in Los Angeles, where she began establishing early connections that would shape her future artistic path.

In 2022, Irene moved to Los Angeles to work on two original records. From this journey came “Keep Walking”, an intimate and refined EP born from three years of writing, transformation, and creative vision. The project was produced by Steve Postell (Immediate Family, David Crosby, John Oates) and Massimo Satta (Mogol, Lucio Dalla, Franco Califano), and released by IRMA Records. Recorded between Los Angeles and Cagliari, the EP features an outstanding cast of musicians:

• Leland Sklar on bass (James Taylor, Phil Collins, Toto)

• Steve Ferrone on drums (Eric Clapton, Tom Petty, Chaka Khan)

• Michael Jerome Moore on percussion (Keb’ Mo’, Slash, Charlie Musselwhite)

• Fabrizio Foggia on Rhodes piano and Hammond organ (Mario Biondi, Papik)

The sound of the project blends Americana, modern blues, folk, and contemporary soul, while remaining deeply personal. The songs move through deep grooves, intimate moments, and electric surges, exploring themes like identity, resilience, freedom, and human connection.

The first single, “Push”, was released on April 11, 2025, accompanied by an official video. It’s a song about non-conformity, about walking your own path even when everything seems to push you in the opposite direction.

Irene is currently touring with a tight and essential band, offering raw and powerful performances where voice, guitar, and truth take center stage. Live shows are her natural element—a space of urgency, presence, and connection.

She is an official endorser of Magnatone USA—the first Italian artist and the first woman to join their roster—and of Asher Guitars, entering a professional circle that includes icons such as Jeff BeckBilly GibbonsKeith Richards, and Tom Petty.
